Intensive Day Tour of Gozo

An intensive full day tour of Gozo also including some scenic sites.

Departing the beautiful Mgarr harbour for your personally guided tour, and heading for the Xaghra plateu, for the splendid view of Ramla bay from above Calypso’s Cave. Then travel down to Victoria and up to the The Citadel – the fortified part of Gozo, just where all the Gozitans used to retreat for the night, when the island was exposed to various threats from the African corsairs, and take in more impressive views from the ramparts of this now sleepy part of the island. Roll back down to Lunzjata Valley, one time hunting grounds for the Knights of St. John, now a blissful agricultural enclave. On through the village of Kercem huddled below its church, and continue on to Santa Lucia, much like a miniature village. Access Xlendi bay via Munxar, this headland revealing the sheer cliffs on the extremities of Xlendi, but also the inner bay, with its beautiful clear waters in varying shades of green where you can enjoy a leisurely walk alongside the bay before leaving for Dwejra, another beautiful nature spot famous for its now lost window and the inland sea. Travel up to Zebbug and down to the fishing village Marsalforn for the view of the salt pans along the way, and finally on to Qala for the view of Comino and the exceptionally pretty Blue Lagoon, to complete your visit.

The above itinerary as proposed, involves no entrance fees, and makes time for lunch.
